After passing the civil servant examination in 1396 (5th year of Kin Taejo’s reign), Ha Yeon (1376~1453) served as inspector general, vice-premier and premier during the early Joseon Dynasty. The tomb is a joint tomb as he was buried with his wife, Lee of Seongsan. In front of the tomb, there is a table of incense and rituals, a stone lantern on the left side, and a stone monument and statue of a civilian officer on both sides of the tomb.
