The Gyeonggi Creation Center, opened in October 2009, is Korea’s largest creative residence facility that supports the creative endeavors and research activities of domestic and international artists. Located amid pleasant surroundings, the Gyeonggi Creation Center has various facilities including a creation studio. With its global yet regionally customized program, the center offers Korean artists a chance to step up to the global stage while allowing foreign artists the opportunity to see and understand Korea from a fresh perspective.
Gyeonggi Creation Center is an affiliated organization of the Gyeonggi Culture Foundation. The Creation Center is working on expanding its range of artist research and creative activities to include residency, creative education programs, interdisciplinary research, local design projects, as well as increase Gyeonggi residents’ right to enjoy cultural activities and creative daily lives. Through acting as a public agent, the Gyeonggi Creation Center will become a site for experimental creative arts, leading the future-oriented new cultural paradigm. We hope to grow into a distinguished arts & culture platform and key driver for the creation of culture in Western Gyeonggi province
