Last Feb. 23, the Gyeonggi-do government announced its plan to promote an all-out economic cooperation project within the year with Guangdongsheng, an open region of reformation in China. 
As for the first economical project for this year, Gyeonggi-do and Guangdongsheng are promoting a large-scale training program by inviting CEOs from state-owned enterprises located in Guangdongsheng for 6 weeks, from Mar. 14 till Apr. 22. 
This recent project is a substantial cooperation project between the two regions next to the mutual small and medium enterprise support fund project and the traditional park construction project, both organized by mutual agreement between the governors of each region. 
During the 6-week training, 25 presidents of major enterprises in Guangdongsheng will visit Gyeonggi-do and receive 45 days of training from Seoul National University and major Korean enterprises. 
This training program is an opportunity for CEOs of major enterprises from Guangdongsheng to meet with Korean CEOs, and by uplifting the understanding on industrial and economical competitiveness of Gyeonggi-do, the general confidence and brand image of Gyeonggi-do companies and products will increase. 
To actualize the cooperation project between Gyeonggi-do and Guangdongsheng this year, a representative mission headed by the director of the Int’l Trade Dept. 
Prior purposes of the mission is to tune promotion plans on each field such as exhibitions and conventions, high-tech industry and more, through mutual agreement between the two regions.
