The 16th Ceramic Expo, exhibiting traditional ceramic ware, will open at the end of this month in Yeoju, Gyeonggi-do. 
Yeoju-gun will hold the 16th Yeoju Ceramic Expo from Apr. 30 till May 16 at the Icheon World Ceramic Center on the subject of ‘Harmony of earth, soul and fire’. 
The Yeoju Ceramic Expo 2004 supported by the Gyeonggi Province, World Ceramic Exposition Foundation and the Korea National Tourism Organization. About 200 thousand spectators are expected to visit and many variegated events will be prepared. 
Exhibitions include the Ceramic House, special exhibition products of the world’s 10 ceramic enterprises, new ceramic ware designs, pottery show of art pieces made by potteries residing in Yeoju and lots more will be arranged. 
Also, products of local ceramic enterprises will be sold in 84 air domes and 3 ceramic merchandise stores. 
Other events include, actual experience of producing ceramic products through traditional kilns, making artificial gardens with ceramic fragments, do-it-yourself pottery corner, stamping hands and feet on clay and so on. 
A large ceramic complex is formed in Irwon, Bungnae-myeon, Yeoju, home to about 600 ceramic businesses.
