The opening ceremony of the ‘SoftExpo/DCF (SoftExpo & Digital Contents Fair)’ 2003 will take place at the Pacific Hall in COEX, Samsung-dong, Seoul with the attendance of the President of Korea. The development and flow of the software (SW) industry in and out of the country are on display in this one fair. 

Sponsored by the Ministry of Information and Communication and managed by the Korea IT Industry Promotion Agency, this event is held for the 7th year and is a specialized exhibition for S/W and digital contents fields. Among the exhibition halls, there are 7 independent exhibitions including Embedded SW, Open Source SW, Game, Mobile Contents, e-Learning, Digital Image, and e-Government. Additional halls include a special exhibition of various prize winning products will be displayed and a public hall for about 260 related companies to show their high-tech products. 

President Roh mentioned in his opening ceremony speech of his personal experience of developing a biographical DB and schedule management program called ‘New Leader’ in ’95, and emphasized the potential in the knowledge industry in Korea because of the many high-quality human resources.
