A regular airline for tourists coming and going between Gyeonggi and Guangdong Provinces is expected to start service within the year. 

On Mar. 23, the provincial government announced that it was currently under active discussion with Guangdong on the airline issue to expand tourism for both regions and both are generally positive of the matter. 

Accordingly, an administrative party will be sent to the Int’l Tourism Fair in Guangzhou City, from Mar. 26 till 28, to discuss details with the opposite party. 

Both parties will select tourism goods, sleeping accommodations, regular number of airlines and all other details. If subject of discussion are settled satisfactorily, airline services may start this winter. 

Tourist attractions with comparative advantages are respectively golf and hot springs for Guangdong, and ski and DMZ tours for Gyeonggi-do. 

An official of the Gyeonggi-do remarked that the effect of an exclusive airline between the two provinces will active tourism.
