Gyeonggi Province opened its first “031#” (Gongsamil Shop), a specialized store to support sales channels and strengthen the promotion of social economy organizations, at Siheung Premium Outlet.

On May 8, Gyeonggi Province held an opening ceremony for 031# (Gongsamil Shop) with about 50 people in attendance, including Gyeonggi Province Vice Governor for Economy Kim Hyun-gon and Siheung City Mayor Lim Byung-taek, as well as Gyeonggi Provincial Assembly members, Siheung City Council members, and representatives of related social and economic organizations.

The name “031#” comes from the area code of Gyeonggi Province, 031, and the province plans to open more 031# stores so as to revitalize social and economic organizations throughout Gyeonggi Province.

This 031# (Gongsamil Shop), which occupies an area of 496 square meters (150 pyeong) on the 3rd floor of Siheung Premium Outlet, is an offline social economy store that sells products from 29 social economy organizations in Gyeonggi Province and supports local small and medium-sized businesses. It coexists with “Siheung Dream Store,” a win-win cooperation store, and a fair trade café.

The store, which was built in cooperation with a major retailer (Shinsegae) and Siheung City, was redesigned to reflect the latest consumption trend of combining relaxation and shopping. In the future, it will serve as a representative store to showcase social economy products to provincial residents and as a base to promote value consumption.

Meanwhile, the Gyeonggi Social Economy Shopping Mall (smartstore.naver.com/segg), which previously opened on NAVER Smart Store, will soon be launched as an online store under 031# (Gongsamil Shop). The offline store will offer a 50% discount on social economy products and free gifts with every purchase, while the online mall will offer a 30% to 50% discount on all products, photo review events, and delivery cost support events.
