The new year has come and the bitter cold is still here, making winter festivals more popular than ever. From ice fishing to sledding and snowflakes, a multitude of winter festivals are being held across in Gyeonggi Province.

■ Pocheon Baegun Valley Dongjanggun Festival
The Dongjanggun Festival is an interactive winter festival, run by the locals of the Korean Alps, and the home of Idong galbi, and Idong makgeolli, Doridol Village and the City of Pocheon City.
This year, even more entertaining interactive programs have been prepared with the introduction of ice fishing for trout. The festival is also close to different Pocheon attractions, such as Pocheon Sanjeong Lake, Ildong Hot Springs, and Pocheon Art Valley, offering you more options to enjoy.

■ Resolre Park Winter Festival:, “Winter, Let’s Play!”
At “Winter, Let’s Play!,” a winter festival organized at Wangsong Lake in , Uiwang-si City, enjoy sledding with friends and take amazing photos by the Christmas tree and the Moonlight Bench.
During the interactive weekend interactive classes, you can also make snowman plush toys and try out woodworking.

■ Pocheon Sanjeong Lake Sled Festival
Pocheon Sanjeong Lake Sled Festival is a festival run by locals that will celebrate its 9th anniversary this year. Come make many special memories here while playing winter games that are unique to the area.
Exciting experiential activities including sledding, ice biking, ice train and thrilling snowbikes have been prepared, as well as traditional foods using local ingredients.

The Yangju Snow Festival is a winter festival hosted by Crown-Haitai Confectionery Group’s Crown Haitai Art Valley (Jangheung Recreational Forest) that will celebrate its 6th anniversary this year.

The Cheongpyeong Trout and Icefish Festival is an affordable trout and icefish fishing festival that offers entertainment for everyone.
Cheongpyeong, is an area that hugs embraces the Bukhangang River on both sides, which can be reached in 30 minutes from Seoul via by train and viaor by car on via the Seoul-Chuncheon Highway. It offers the opportunity to both appreciate both the beautiful Bukhangang River and mountains as well.

■ Anseong Icefish Festival
At the Anseong Icefish Festival, you can enjoy fishing on ice, sledding, traditional Korean games, hand fishing and a variety of other winter sportsactivities, as well as the Snowflakes Photo Zone.
The festival is held at the Gwanghaewon Reservoir, a reservoir with the cleanestpristine water quality that streams flows from the Charyeong Mountain Range. It is a large-scale reservoir of 180,000 pyeong that is well-known in Anseong, Gyeonggi Province.
