Up Creation Audition Recruits Participating Start-Ups

Gyeonggi Province announces that it will recruit start-ups for the 3rd Up Creation Audition until June 18.
The Up Creation Audition is an event in which pre-founders and start-up representatives present their business models in front of industry experts and investors who evaluate the merits of those models. Two Up-Creation Audition events have been held so far this year, enabling 11 companies to meet industry experts and investors.
Among them, K-Lab presented its IoT medical assistance device “Multi Health Device GYRO-FIT” to the US crowdfunding service Kickstarter on May 1, and has raised USD 41,000, which represents 150 % of the original target goal.
The third Up Creation Audition event will be held on July 8 at the Gyeonggi Center for Creative Economy & Innovation. Start-ups that have started operations and are now preparing for investor relations can participate in the event.
Through document screening and interviews, Gyeonggi Province will select five or more companies to give presentations at the audition event.
This event will be held with 70 attendees including investors, Superman Fund management company officials, Gyeonggi Province Company officials, and judges. It will consist of business plan presentations by participating start-up representatives, virtual investment by audience members, and question-and-answer sessions.
Companies with the greatest amount of virtual investment will be awarded the Virtual Investment Prize, and those with the highest scores from the judges will receive the Judges’ Prize. The winners will also receive the funding fee for crowdfunding (50%) as an additional prize.
Companies wishing to participate should submit their application form, business plan, portfolio, and related documents via e-mail (up@gg.go.kr) by 6 pm on June 18.
