The construction of the ‘Singing Fountain’ in Ilsan, Goyang-si will finally be completed next month. 

Gyeonggi-do and Goyang-si explained on Mar. 21, “Construction of the singing fountain started in Feb. last year and is currently completed up to 67%. We expect the fountain to be completed on the 25th next month. Provincial governor Hak-kyu Sohn and about 10 thousand residents are expected to attend the ceremony of the completion on Apr. 30.” 

Total 22 billion won (provincial expenses of 12.5 billion and city expenses of 9.5 billion won) was expended for the construction and the fountain will be erected in Janghang-dong, Ilsan-gu, Goyang-si (51,700㎡). 

The 50m wide singing fountain will have one main sprout and 4 sub-sprouts that will squirt water up to 35m in about 500 forms including vertical, circular, oval and other shapes will be presented together with music ranging from classic, jazz, pop and other songs. 

After the construction, the fountain is expected to become the biggest tourist attraction with the Korea International Exhibition Center (KINTEX).
